The context
MAS Elettronica, part of the FAE Technology Group, developed a fully custom, high-performance embedded electronic solution for a leading Italian industrial company specializing in quality control systems for the pharmaceutical sector. The project addressed the industry’s growing need to modernize production processes through intelligent automation and full traceability.

The technological challenge
The client needed to integrate advanced control technologies into its existing production lines while maintaining millimetric precision and full compliance with international pharmaceutical regulations. The main challenge was harmonizing legacy systems with innovative solutions without disrupting operational continuity.
Integrated solution
MAS Elettronica designed a complete technological ecosystem based on a customized ARM architecture with an NXP processor, comprising five custom electronic boards with dedicated enclosures, an optimized Linux operating system, and advanced industrial communication protocols. The solution ensures automated control of critical parameters in medicine packaging, delivering end-to-end traceability and a streamlined user interface for real-time monitoring.
Operational impact
The system delivered significant improvements: reduced production waste, elimination of human error in critical stages, automated quality control with sub-millimetric defect detection, and increased line speed while maintaining the highest quality standards.
